Claire Christie
Claire is currently a secondary music teacher in Fife having graduated from the RSAMD in 2009.
Claire has been involved in choral singing since a young age, having sung in Paisley Abbey Choir, Scottish Chamber Orchestra Chorus and Edinburgh Festival Chorus.
Claire was a founding member of The National Youth Choir of Scotland (NYCoS). During her time as a singer in NYCoS Claire was fortunate to travel around the world, as well as performing in prestigious venues such as the Albert Hall in London. Claire has also worked with the NYCoS West Lothian Area Choir as music staff conducting a junior choir.
Claire is the vocal coach for the Glasgow contingent of ACE chorus and has been there since 2007. ACE chorus is a group of 150 singers who perform annually in the Clyde Auditorium.
Claire lived in Australia for three years in 2016 and was a member of the Sydney Philharmonia Choir Chamber Singers, making regular appearances in the Sydney Opera House.
Claire is delighted to be the new musical director of Toccata and is excited to share her love of choral singing.
